Accrington schoolchildren enjoy thrilling morning of cricket at iMEP Arena
Over 80 schoolchildren from Peel Park Primary School attended a cricket training session at Accrington Cricket Club’s iMEP Arena on Thursday 13th June.
Organised by the cricket club and club sponsors iMEP International Music Event production, the Year 5 students enjoyed an exciting morning of cricket, with six ‘cricket stations’ set up on the iMEP Arena pitch.
Activities included batting basics, ground fielding, catching, bowling basics, hitting the ball straight with a cricket bat and super strike bowling.
Each of the sessions was run by a designated coach from Accrington CC, with additional support provided by teachers from Peel Park Primary School.
